Concentric Geoscience was retained by the vendor of a service station in northeast Saskatchewan to conduct a limited-scope Phase II ESA. The assessment scope was tailored to meet the vendor’s primary need, which was only to assess potential environmental impacts from two petroleum underground storage tanks (USTs) and associated fuel dispensers. Subsurface conditions at the site proved challenging due to excessive depth to groundwater. The Concentric Geoscience team provided technical opinion and context using a limited dataset in combination with a comprehensive interpretation of the subsurface geology and infrastructure. This allowed for a determination on the potential for contaminant impacts despite the limited data set, in turn meeting the due diligence required for the property transaction.
