Completed on behalf of City of Iqaluit
Concentric Geoscience was retained to complete a combined Phase I & II ESA of a large industrial yard in Iqaluit. The Phase I ESA identified four potential environmental concerns associated with past military and aggregate extraction operations and adjacent industrial activities including fueling areas. The Phase II ESA was designed to investigate the identified potential environmental concerns and included the advancement of 22 test pits across the site, and analysis of 25 soil samples and 9 groundwater samples. Concentric Geoscience’s assessors conducted the Phase I ESA document review and interviews prior to deploying to the site and incorporated flexibility into the Phase II ESA scope of work to allow for additional or adjusted sampling locations based on observations made at the site.
