Completed for a water delivery company in southern Ontario
Concentric Geoscience secured a Permit to Take Water (PTTW) to support the ongoing operation and expansion of a water delivery company in Elgin County, Ontario. Preliminary desktop assessment of hydrogeologic conditions and pre-consultation with the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) determined the need for a Category 3 PTTW application, supported by a Category 2 step draw-down test and 24-hour constant rate pumping test. As part of the pumping test, Concentric Geoscience project staff issued advance written notice to all nearby residents, canvassed for well supply information and provided as-needed technical consultation for any residents’ concerns that arose during the project activities. Pumping test data and other collected information was then used to complete a hydrogeologic study, evaluating potential impacts of the requested taking. Concentric Geoscience facilitated the final PTTW application, backed by the hydrogeological study, with final permit approval from MECP provided within the client’s allotted timeframe.
