Completed for the City of Saskatoon
Concentric’s geoscience group carried out a Phase I ESA of the proposed University Heights 3 Neighbourhood in the northeast area of Saskatoon. The study area covered approximately 1,200 acres and comprised varying land uses including agricultural, commercial/industrial, construction aggregate and snow storage. Numerous past environmental reports were identified for the study area and surrounding lands as a result of the records review. The Concentric geoscience assessment team was required to consider and synthesize many variables associated with the contrasting site conditions over a large area on and off-site as well as a large amount of historical and technical information. The results were presented in a face-to-face meeting with the City of Saskatoon and ultimately involved a collaborative approach to establish appropriate recommendations.
